History

Tudor Houses - Year 5We have nine termly topics which we rotate so that all children do all topics. Differentiate recording books have been developed for each topic and so all children in a group will participate in the class discussion but written recording expectations may very from child to child. Art work and practical activities are always integrated into History projects. History lessons start with a group discussion on a particular topic which often involves many practical experiences. We all remember well the Roman feast the children prepared and ate with their fingers - yes in a reclining position!

Topics covered include:

Local history

Britain since the 1930's

The Victorians

Life in Tudor times

The Romans

The Anglo-Saxons

The Vikings

Ancient Egypt
