The curriculum is carefully planned to meet, and go beyond, the Government set Early Learning Goals for Nursery and Reception children and the requirements of the National Curriculum for Year 1 upwards. We use a wide range of learning and teaching styles, thus ensuring that there is a match between the child and tasks.
We teach children to be motivated to do their best work at all times. The timetable is designed to intersperse intellectual, physical and creative lessons so that differing energies are tapped at different times of the day. Lots of "fun" activities are incorporated. Many tasks are open-ended, encouraging thinking skills and evaluation. Great pride is taken by all children whose work is displayed throughout the school and in the anthology. There is very little wasted time in our school.
